Part Time Summer Position: Mill Steward

Summer 2022

The Mill Hollow Heritage Association is seeking a person to serve part-time as Mill Steward to support community programming at Chase’s Mill for the summer season. Chase’s Mill is a living museum, workshop, and community center with tools and resources that enable community members to make, learn, explore and share. The Mill Steward is expected to be at the Mill on most Saturday mornings for 11 weeks (June 18th through September 4th), on five Thursday evenings when the Mill will be hosting a lecture series: Celebrate Water!, and a few other times as needed.

This part time job will be approximately 10 hrs/week with compensation of $18.00/hour. Duties will include setting and closing up for classes and lectures, welcoming and orienting visitors, tending the gift shop, setting up AV equipment, and overseeing parking.

Chase’s Mill is listed on the New Hampshire Register of Historic Places, with foundation stones dating to 1767. The Mill is owned and operated by the Mill Hollow Heritage Association, a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization which was formed to purchase and restore this historic building.
