About Bob Brown: As a child in the 1950s, my siblings and I were Heman Chase’s first regular “shop students.” From this influential early exposure to woodworking and making things, I went on to a career as a science educator. In retrospect, I now see Chase’s Mill as a “learning place” with the potential to enrich the creative lives of both young and older visitors.

Can you identify the artifacts around the Mill? Clipboards and artifacts are located on all levels of the mill.
See if you can identify the object and record you best guess on the clipboard. Don’t have a clue what it is? Then guess.
We want you to write down a creative idea of how it might have been used.
Can You Find?
Available during regular Mill Hours
Saturdays and Sundays, from June 4 to October 9, 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
Pick up your checklist at the registration table. As you tour the mill and listen to the docent, see if you can find these machines and displays.
When you find each of the items listed, use the punch that is attached to that item. As you leave the Mill, compare your list to the master list.
Did you get them correct? Did you find all of them? If you need help, just ask.
