Alstead Vilas Pool was given Historic Swan Boats many years ago, similar to those on the Boston Common. The years of weather followed by the flood to 2005 damaged the historic benches for the Swan Boats. This June, in partnership with the Vilas Pool Committee, we are recruiting volunteers to rebuild the Swan Boat Benches that will be returned to use this summer at the Vilas Pool. Please join us at Chase's Mill to restore these benches with new wood and paint. No experience with woodworking is required. This event is cosponsored with Vilas Pool Volunteers.
